English Weather and Family Catch Ups.
Evening Everyone.
Hope everyone is well. The weather here today has been all over the place. Hang your washing out and it rains, take the dog out and it gets red hot so we have to come home again. I felt like someone was watching me today and kept waving a magic wand just for sport! Typical English weather. I won't care what it does tomorrow as I will be indoors, at my daughters house, making more wedding invitations. Hope the weather is being kind wherever you are.
We have had cottage pie tonight for tea, a real treat after weeks of salads. I fully intended to take a photo to show you but Hubby had been out walking, came home ravenous, and got stuck straight into it before I got the chance.
I have got a photo of the much longed for cabin bed that granddaughter wanted for her birthday. It was delivered yesterday and her lovely dad spent all evening putting it together for her. I regularly get photos sent to my phone , throughout the day from the kids, today it was one of another granddaughter who has had her ears pierced. It's lovely that they keep me updated with everything.
Not so sure that the nocturnal hamster is such a good idea underneath her head?

I've been to visit my sister today. She doesn't live very far away but with work commitments and family we don't often get the chance to have a few hours together for a good chat. I really enjoyed it and we have decided to go out for lunch or maybe just coffee and cake on Sunday, just the two of us. I'm really looking forward to it. Hubby is going walking and her hubby is at a classic motorbike show for the day so we have plenty of time.
Do you get the chance to visit family and friends or do they visit you?
Until tomorrow
Jules x

I will try to read all comments and reply. Please be polite and kind. Thanks :)

  1. Hi Jules,
Such a lovely new bed for your granddaughter. I agree with you about the hamster ;-)
We receive Apps about the grandchildren as well, though 2 of our 3 grandchildren live only 300 metres away haha.

My sister and I had a lovely day our last Sunday. Here's my post about it: https://ruraltownliving.blogspot.com/2018/08/frans-festijn-french-fair.html.
We don't meet very often either, about every 6-8 weeks (there are 200 km between us and she has a busy job), but it's always nice to see each other.
    Enjoy the weekend!
