Quick Post

Evening Everyone.
Hope everyone's ok? Sorry but tonight is going to be short and sweet.  I have spent most of the day at my daughters house making yet more wedding invitations but we are half way through them now, thank goodness.
This afternoon I have been trawling the internet as it is our wedding  anniversary in a couple of weeks and Hubby has said to find somewhere nice to stay for a mini break. I don't wan't him to go off the idea so I was straight onto it. ;)
Unfortunately I couldn't find anything suitable, in the right price range ( It's school holidays and the prices rocket ) and not too far to travel as it is only for a couple of days. Not to be put off, I will continue my search tomorrow evening. Details to follow.
Tonight I am going out for a drink with my best friend, She doesn't drink at all and will be driving and as I have to drive first thing in the morning I won't be drinking much either,  so we won't exactly be paining the town red.  We are meeting friends for lunch tomorrow and it is quite a distance away. They have moved house and we now meet half way between our homes every couple of months for lunch. They are great company so I am really looking forward to seeing them both. We eat and chat and are so comfortable in each others company that the time just melts away, that's a sign of a good friendship. Hubby and I never seem to go very far then this past few weeks we have never been home! Such is life.

Have a lovely evening, thanks again for reading and catch you tomorrow.
Jules x

I will try to read all comments and reply. Please be polite and kind. Thanks :)

  1. Nice to have such friends, isn't it? We have such friends too, our conversation never stops and we continue where we stopped last time we met.
Good luck finding a lovely stay for the mini break.

  2. Would you consider self catering for your break? We have started to do this and have had some wonderful short breaks with food provided by M and S. ( I save my reward vouchers to pay for food)

  3. Hi Catriona, lovely to meet you. Yes I would definitely consider self catering and food from M and S is a lovely idea. We didn't go away last year for our anniversary as we had the same problem but went for a day out with a lovely lunch and a couple of coffee stops too. We have gone for many years to a small hotel n the Peak District that was very reasonable. The problem is that it has now got too expensive which is a shame. Have you any recommendations? x
